ABOUT OUR BLENDS

Poultry Seasoning

This Blend was created a few years ago at a Thanksgiving gathering when we wanted to create a new seasoning for an old tradition.  So we threw open the cupboards and combined a blend of herbs and seasonings that became the hit of the day.   Later, we discovered it also works very well on seafood, such as scallops, salmon and talapia.  Using basil, sage, Himalayan Pink Salt, rosemary, thyme, and black pepper, with a dash of cayenne, this Blend creates the perfect seasoning for all types of poultry and many types of seafood.  Try it and let us know YOUR favorite way to use it.

 

Steak Rub

As you know, dining at a nice steakhouse can be expensive, and sometimes a little disappointing.  So we came up with a blend of herbs that would create the perfectly seasoned steak at home. Garlic powder, Himalayan Pink Salt and black pepper are the three main ingredients; then we added basil, ground mustard, thyme, rosemary, and a dash of cayenne for good measure. Our Steak Rub is the perfect blend of seasonings to make any cut of steak flavorful and delicious, every time.  It also works very well in burgers, stews, meatloaf and many other meat dishes.

 

Vegetable Seasoning

Let’s face it, vegetables can sometimes be a little boring. Meadow Creek’s Vegetable Seasoning was created to jazz up all your favorite side dishes, but it also works well on pizza, french fries and pasta. Himalayan Pink Salt, garlic powder, and parsley are the main ingredients, but it needed more, so we added basil, oregano, black pepper and a touch of ground mustard. We think you’ll agree, it’s a hit at every meal.

 

Bread Dipping Blend

This seems to be everyone’s favorite, and was created because the plain oil and pepper that some restaurants brought to the table fell a little short. And let’s face it, everyone likes a flavorful and easy appetizer.  Basil, oregano, garlic powder and Himalayan Pink Salt are the main ingredients in this Blend, but you know we couldn’t stop there. So we added parsley, black pepper, rosemary, thyme, ground mustard, and a little cayenne, just to bring out all the flavors. This is a very versatile blend, good in oil for dipping, or in your homemade bread dough, or sprinkled on raw and steamed vegetables.

It couldn’t be easier: Pour a generous amount of olive oil into shallow bowl or saucer, sprinkle Meadow Creek's 100% Organic Bread Dipping Blend and stir gently. 

 

Southwest Seasoning 

This Blend was created to add a little heat and smoke to your favorite dishes. Our first test dish was rice, and wow, we knew we had a hit. Then we sprinkled it on other foods like chicken, sliced tomatoes, eggs, and steak. Four simple flavors create this masterpiece: chipotle powder, Himalayan Pink Salt, garlic powder, and ground mustard. Sprinkle on everything from Albacore to Zucchini.

 

Hot Sauce Mix and Raspberry Liquid Hot Sauce

 If you like lots of heat AND lots of flavor, this one’s for you!  This dry blend can be used to make your own custom liquid hot sauce or as a dry seasoning to add flavorful heat to your favorite dishes. 

To make liquid hot sauce: using an empty bottle or jar with a tight fitting lid, add one tablespoon of Hot Sauce Mix and ½ c. Raspberry Vinegar (made from White Balsamic Vinegar), Rice Vinegar or White Balsamic Vinegar and shake vigorously until all the dry ingredients are fully blended. You will see granules, this is normal.  This 4-ounce bottle makes approximately 20 ounces of liquid hot sauce.
